Known as "Chuck". Attached from No 605 Sqn for a conversion course.

Posted back to No 605 Sqn two weeks later, remained with the Squadron and fought in Malta before being transferred to No 185 Sqn in March 1942.

Severely wounded in action on 18/3/1942 and repatriated back to the UK then to Australia. Never totally recovered from his wounds. One confirmed victory, No 605 Sqn, Malta, 1942.

Discharged in November 1945 from No7 RAAF Hospital
