Listemann, Phil
Author and Publisher
He has always been attracted by stories of aviation and after studies in a business school; he decided to work as a commercial pilot. He flew in Canada for 8 years and eventually transferred to the Caribbean for some years. Just before the new Century, he gave up his job as a pilot to move on to France and to work for a French aviation magazine. The magazine specialized in WW2 topics and he began to write articles from that time. The work he did for the aviation magazine ended after 7 years. He then started his own publishing business and with two major series of highly acclaimed books, The ALLIED WINGS and the FAMOUS SQUADRONS of WW2 series, plus many more he manages to stay very busy.
Phil's books on 453 and 457 Squadrons are beautifully done and would be a must for any Spitfire pilot and enthusiast. Historians, researchers, journalist and many more readers are invited to read these books; they are of important significance in maintaining the memory of the Spitfire aircraft and the men who served.
Living in South West of France, he's married and has four children.
