Posted out to No 1 PD, tour expired. One previous tour as NCO with No 23 Sqn RAAF (February 1943), No 83 Sqn RAAF (February to April 1943) and No 85 Sqn RAAF (April to October 1943).

Commissioned in September 1943. No more operational postings until the end of the war.

Claude was discharged from the RAAF in October 1945 as a Flight Lieutenant at No1 Aircraft Depot.
