I was born in 1965 and like many children of my generation, became passionate about aviation through Airfix models. My first completed model happened to be that of Johnnie Johnsson's Spitfire, and since that moment the Royal Air Force and the Spitfire in particular occupy a central place in my interest.

As it often happens, passion for modeling and history go hand in hand, and over the years I became seriously interested in in-depth research in the history of aviation and aircraft.

Educated and working as IT professional, the web seemed a natural platform for developing my interests. In 1998, I launched one of the pioneering modeling websites on the then-young WWW and through the years developed IPMS Stockholm into one of the premiere modeling websites in Europe. This journey took ten years and brought invaluable experiences in writing and publishing.

Thus in 2007 it was time for a new adventure to begin, and one that lies closely to my heart. The Spitfire Site (http://spitfiresite.com) was envisioned as an online resource library about the Supermarine Spitfire, a

meeting place for Spitfire aficionados and an opportunity for my humble self to blog about my favorite subject. Personally I also hope that it will help preserving the memories of the wartime generation, now rapidly diminishing, bring to light some new aspects of Mitchell's fabulous aircraft and its history, and be generally valuable to a broad crowd of aviation enthusiasts.

I work as IT professional and live with my family in Stockholm, Sweden.

It is recommended that you make a visit to the web site of the Spitfire Site. It is excellent for all historians and researchers. <www.spitfiresite.com>
